A small fishing village which was the port of the region and the most important place of access and transport until the mid-20th century, when it was still hard to access it through the road network. Near the picturesque port the organized beach offers moments of relaxationand joy.

The morphology of the area with the mild slopes , which are covered in olive trees and they gp down to the crystal and clear water of the Ionian Sea, has made the area one of the most developed tourist resorts.

Small romantic beaches invite you on a trip on a rental boat. Boats will take you to beaches with no access by land or on a day trip to the Diapontia Islands, Paxos or to the historic town of Vouthroto (Butrind) in Albania. You will live unique experiences.

One of the earliest tourist resorts developed in Corfu. The endless pebbled beach and the all kinds of available infrastructure can satisfy even the most demanding visitors.

The old fishing village is named after river Messoghis, which flows into the local beach. The tree-covered beaches with the boats (the river is navigable) give some colour to the centre of the village.

Boats leave on a daily basis from the port of Messoghi for Syvota, Paxos and AntiPaxos.

To the south of Messoghi, along the coastal road, you will come across small tourist villages (lke Boukari and the fishing village Petritis), famous for their fish taverns.
